Obama Touts His Role in Bringing the Iraq War to an End – Video

Here is video from President Obama Weekly Address, where he touts his role in bringing the Iraq War to an end. Obama said:

“As a candidate, I pledged to end this war. As President, that’s what I’m doing.”

We’ve seen and heard Obama too long now to be surprised that he is making the end of combat operations in Iraq about himself. There’s no counting the number of times Obama uses the word “I.” After all, everything is all about him.

This is a good time to remember that it was actually two men whom Obama has criticized endlessly that had a much bigger hand in bringing this war to a successful conclusion – George W. Bush and John McCain. McCain pushed for the Surge Strategy in Iraq when almost no one else wanted to consider sending more troops to Iraq. President Bush made the tough call to go forward with the Surge. While Obama and others were doing all they could do to cut and run, willing to accept defeat, the Surge Strategy turned the tide as our amazing men and women in uniform performed miraculously. They (our troops) are the ones who brought the Iraq War to an end – in spite of all the efforts to undermine them and their strategy by Barack Obama and the Democrats.

In case you have forgotten what our now fearless leader President was saying back then as a Senator, listen to these videos:

Obama said “The Surge” would actually make things worse in Iraq, not help at all

As the Surge went forward, Obama kept saying the “Surge has not worked”

Obama doesn’t like being reminded he was wrong about the Surge
