Imam Behind Ground Zero Mosque Sees Himself as “Bridge Builder” Between Al-Qaeda and U.S. – Audio
Oh brother.
Here is audio of the Imam behind the Ground Zero Mosque – Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf – saying that he sees himself as a “bridge builder” between the United States and Al-Qaeda. He likened the struggle between the U.S. and Al-Qaeda to a quarreling married couple that needs to try and understand what has caused pain to the other side. Rauf said to be a “bridge builder,” you need to “have one foot on each side of the divide if you are going to become a bridge.”
What the good Imam does not seem to grasp is that we do not want to “understand” Al-Qaeda – we want to destroy Al-Qaeda! We don’t need a “bridge” to Al-Qaeda. We already know who they are, and there can be no compromise with pure, unadulterated evil.
Exit Question: Why would we want an Imam who has essentially admitted he has “one foot” in Al-Qaeda’s camp to have a 13-Story base of operations two blocks from Ground Zero?
