Barnes, Krauthammer Discuss War Tensions on Korean Peninsula – Video 11/26/10

Here is video of conservatives Fred Barnes and Charles Krauthammer discussing the tense conditions on the Korean Peninsula following North Korea’s unprovoked artillery attack on South Korea last week. Barnes said Obama seems ready to continue the “appeasement cycle” of holding some kind of talks following the North’s provocation, which will result in an agreement giving favors to the North in return for assurances they won’t misbehave again, and which will be broken by the North and begin the cycle all over again.

Krauthammer was positive on Obama’s decision to send a carrier battle group to the Yellow Sea to participate in military exercises with the South beginning tomorrow. This is going forward despite China’s warning against holding the exercises.

Both Barnes and Krauthammer emphasized that the current South Korean Government is taking a tougher line against the Communist North.
