President Obama Calls Meeting with GOP Leaders “Productive”; Launches Negotiations on Bush Tax Cuts – Video 11/30/10

Here is video of President Obama speaking today after meeting with Republican Leaders where they discussed what to do about extending the Bush Tax Cuts.

Obama said the meeting was “productive,” and he felt everyone came to it “with a spirit of wanting to work together” for the American People.

He has directed Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to lead negotiations with Congressional Leaders on how to move forward with extending tax cuts. Republicans want to permanently extend the Bush Tax Cuts for all Americans. Obama wants to raise taxes on the very people who own most of the businesses, and employ most of the workers in the nation. He then waxed eloquent on the need for everyone to not be partisan – when he has led as partisan an administration in the history of the Presidency!
