Update on Uncalled House Races: Only NY-1 Remains – Appears Headed for Dem Victory

The only remaining uncalled House race from the 2010 Midterm Elections appears to be headed for a Democrat victory. Incumbent Democrat Rep. Tim Bishop now has a 271-vote lead over GOP challenger Randy Altschuler in New York’s 1st Congressional District. A county judge is going over about 1,500 challenged ballots to come to a final tally. But the trend is certainly in Bishop’s favor. He has called on Altschuler to concede, but so far, he has refused to do so.
Republicans have already picked up 63-seats in the 2010 Midterms, and that looks like it will be the final number.
