Donald Rumsfeld on Libya: “The Prestige of the United States” is On the Line – Video 3/27/11

Here is video of former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld on with Jake Tapper yesterday, where he said the goal of U.S. involvement in Libya now has to be the removal of Dictator Moammar Gadhafi from power. Now that we’re involved in Libya, “the prestige of the United States” is on the line. Rumsfeld believes how we handle the outcome of things in Libya will determine many other things that will unfold in that region. He told Tapper that at this point, the issue is not whether we should have gotten involved in Libya or not. We’re there. We now must work to bring about the best outcome possible.
