Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner Resigns from Congress; Heckler Shouts, “Bye, Bye Pervert” During Press Conference – Video 6/16/11

Here is video of Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner today announcing his resignation from the U.S. Congress in the wake of the “Weinergate” Scandal. Weiner spoke to the press in New York and said the “distraction” he has caused by his behavior has made it impossible for him to continue in Congress.

When Weiner announced his resignation, a heckler in the room shouted, “Bye, Bye Pervert!”, and other things we won’t print. Weiner kept talking and finished his remarks despite the heckling.
