Here is video of Sen. John McCain appearing on Meet the Press yesterday where he said the downgrade of the U.S. Credit Rating from AAA status to AA+, is a result of President Barack Obama’s failed leadership – not the Tea Party’s fault. He also said people should not “shoot the messenger” – referring to Standard & Poor’s, who downgraded the U.S. Credit Rating.

McCain told Gregory that the “elephant in the room” is “Medicare and Social Security” – which must be reformed if the United States is ever going to deal with our spending and debt problem.
