Obama Cancels Speech on Higher Fuel-Efficiency for Work Vehicles at Last Minute; White House Daily Briefing Also Canceled – 8/9/11

UPDATE: It appears Obama canceled his appearance to meet the caskets of some of the fallen soldiers from Afghanistan who arrived at Dover Air Force Base. Not sure on why the Daily Briefing was canceled.

POLITICO: The White House announced Tuesday morning, just hours before President Obama was scheduled to talk about fuel-efficiency standards at Interstate Moving Services in Springfield, Va., that the trip has been canceled. . . .     Of course he wouldn’t want to honor those who represent the unit that took down his precious movement leader.  Even if he did use them himself for his own political gain.

    I know you’re a lot more “moderate” than me Brian, but wouldn’t you say it’s about time we acknowledge openly where Obama’s loyalties REALLY lie?

    Oh hey, and off the subject, your Poll of the Week.  Do you mean for us to choose who we THINK will win the straw poll, or who we WANT to win it?  (I know it’s says “believe” in there, but it’s really hard for me to click on someone other than my guy, so I’m looking for an out here.)

    I don’t think there’s any doubt that Barack Obama is a very far-Left Socialist. He wants to turn America into a European-style socialist state, and he is doing everything he can to make that happen. It can be turned around if Americans choose to make Obama a one-term President. Let’s hope Americans choose well.
