Democrats, Big Labor Fail to Regain Wisconsin State Senate in Recall Elections

Democrats and their Big Labor allies failed in Wisconsin last night to retake the State Senate, winning two of the six recall elections they engineered against Republicans as retaliation for their support of Gov. Scott Walker. Democrats needed to win three of the races to retake control of the State Senate. Over at Power Line, Scott Johnson has a great recap of what happened:
POWER LINE (Scott Johnson): In the six recall elections handpicked by Big Labor in Wisconsin, Democrats had the money and the intensity in their favor. All they lacked, it turns out, was the votes.
In the event, Democrats won only two of the six contested Senate races, falling one short of the number that they needed to secure a Senate majority. In the pivotal race of the evening, long-time Republican Senator Alberta Darling pulled out a victory that is secure beyond the margin of cheating.
