Mitt Romney Reacts to News Obama Team is Gearing Up to “Kill Romney” Politically: Obama Can’t Run on His Record because “He has Failed” – Video 8/10/11

PART 1

PART 2

Here is video of Gov. Mitt Romney on with Sean Hannity tonight, where he reacted to news that President Obama’s team is gearing up to try and “kill Romney” politically. Romney said Obama can’t really run on his record because “he has failed.”

Romney said Obama is “in way over his head,” and the way you fight back against him and his attacks is to “hammer him day in and day out” with his “stark record of failure.”

Romney reeled off a litany of things Obama has done that work against the creation of jobs and turning around the U.S. Economy. He quoted Ronald Reagan in describing Obama: “It’s not that liberals are ignorant – It’s just that what they know is wrong.”

Hannity asked Romney why he is not aggressively participating in the Iowa Straw Poll this weekend. Romney say he did that in a big way four years ago, and this time is focusing on winning delegates – not straw polls, anywhere in the country. He told Hannity he is “trying to win the Nomination” this time around.

On the Debt Ceiling hike, Romney said he long ago signed a pledge not to hike the Debt Ceiling unless something like “Cut, Cap, and Balance” in place. If elected President, Romney said he would seek to enact legislation like “Cut, Cap, and Balance” into law, particularly if he has a Republican majority in the Senate and the House.

    I have a Conservative’s confession to make.

    I have a soft spot in my political heart for Mittens.

    1. I think he’d crush B.H.O. in an election.  That’s the most important thing; he’d win.

    2. He’s center-right.  That’s good enough and I think he’d be an effective POTUS.

    Aquaviva,
    I do believe the Mittster could beat Obama, particularly with his business/executive credentials. Americans are going to be craving someone who projects competence when it comes to business, job creation, and the economy.

    But I would much prefer someone who is more reliably conservative across the board, and someone who does not have the taint of “RomneyCare” around their neck. An important line of attack against Obama in on ObamaCare, and Romney will not be able to go after him on that like another nominee would be able to. We’ve got some good choices in Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and Herman Cain.

    However, in the end, what you said is true. It is absolutely essential that Barack Obama be defeated, for the sake of the nation. If Romney winds up as the nominee, every conservative should work their heart out for him. We simply cannot have another Obama term.

    Agree 100% Brian.

    When it comes to BHO’s reelection, to quote the stirring oratory of the eloquent Rev. Sharpton;

    “But resist we much… We must and we will much… about … that … be committed.”

    LOL! We have to keep using Sharpton’s “eloquent” statement! Classic!
