Rick Santorum Takes on Ron Paul’s Belief the U.S. Should Do Nothing to Prevent Iran from Obtaining Nuclear Weapons – Video 8/11/11

Here’s video from tonight’s GOP Presidential Debate in Iowa where Rick Santorum reacted to Ron Paul’s blaming of the United States as “not minding our own business” in seeking to keep Iran from obtaining Nuclear Weapons. Santorum argued that Iran poses a real danger to the U.S. and Israel, while Paul thinks all U.S. Troops should be brought home and nothing be done reagarding Iran and Nuclear Weapons.

Ron Paul was dominating the foreign policy conversation in this debate.

In case anyone’s wondering…..that’s a very bad thing.

Santorum got annihilated. This is the second time in 2 elections that Dr. Paul has schooled someone on foreign policy. Last time it was Ghouliani. Now its someone whose name is a sexual reference….

I don’t think most GOP voters see it your way. And why in the world would you make such a pathetic personal attack on Rick Santorum like that? Do you think that helps Ron Paul? I don’t agree with Dr. Paul, but I respect him. Why can’t you just state your view and be respectful of others?

From all the comments I got on my own website and from the 40 or so FB friends that joined me in real-time discussing the debate, David, nearly no one agrees with you that Paul has anything sane to offer in the area of foreign policy.

But what I keep telling Paul fans is that it doesn’t matter anyway.  Paul will be a thing of the past after he loses the primary.  Santorum will probably not win this race either(unfortunately) but he’s still got plenty of time to fight in other races.  I’ll be glad to finally see the end of RP, and judging by the comments I received last night, more people than not feel the same way.
