Perry Q & A with the crowd at the New Hampshire Event:
Reaction from those attending the New Hampshire even was very positive (reaction begins at 1:17 of the video below):
Here is video of Texas Gov. Rick Perry making his first visit as a Presidential Candidate to the first-in-the-nation Primary State of New Hampshire.
Yesterday, just hours after announcing he is running for President, Perry arrived in New Hampshire and spoke at the home of the state’s Deputy Speaker, Pam Tucker. He gave a speech first, and then took questions from the crowd.
Perry told the crowd in the backyard, “I intend to compete for every vote in every state.” He told the New Hampshire crowd that he “feels right at home amongst people whose motto is, ‘Live Free or Die.’”
Building on that theme, Perry said, “But you can’t live free with a Federal Government that takes over 1/6 of our economy. You can’t live free knowing your children are going to inherit a mountain of debt. You can’t live free if you don’t have the dignity of having a job.”
Perry urged the GOP New Hampshire legislature to override their Governor’s veto of a “Right-to-Work Law,” saying it would make New Hampshire a “magnet” for business and jobs as the only state in the Northeast to be a “Right-to-Work” state.
