Rick Perry Says He Would have Liked to Shake Hands with Michele Bachmann in Waterloo Last Night: “But She Came in After We Had Been There About 1 1/2 Hours” – Video 8/15/11

Here is a video report by Fox News’ Carl Cameron that includes some clips from an interview he did today with Texas Gov. Rick Perry in Iowa.

Cameron asked Perry what he thought about GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann, whom he shared the program with last night in Waterloo, Iowa. Perry called her “a ball of fire,” and said he would have liked to meet her, since he never has, but was unable to last night because “she came in after we had been there about an hour and a half.”

Somehow I think Perry is very aware how Bachmann’s waiting to make a grand entrance last night went over like the proverbial “lead balloon.”
