Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad Warns Mitt Romney: “You Better Get Here Before It’s Too Late” – Audio 8/15/11

Here is audio of Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad talking to Laura Ingraham yesterday on her radio show, where he talked about the 2012 GOP Presidential race.

Branstad had a direct message for Gov. Mitt Romney – “You better get here before it’s too late.” Romney appears to be following the strategy of not really campaigning in Iowa because he does not want to raise expectations and then look bad if he does poorly. He is ceding the battlefield in Iowa to Bachmann, Perry, Santorum and the other candidates.

Branstad said he does not believe Ron Paul can win the Iowa Caucuses, even though he has a “rabid” group of supporters that come in from “all over” to back him in Iowa. Branstad said Paul had really “scared the heck” out of a lot of people with his statement last week that he had no problem with Iran being allowed to obtain Nuclear Weapons.
