Two new polls from Public Policy Polling show Texas Gov. Rick Perry is tied with Gov. Mitt Romney in the states of Colorado and North Carolina. Both states are key battleground states for the 2012 Presidential Election, with 24 important Electoral Votes between them. Obama carried both states in 2008.
In Colorado, Perry and Romney both get 20% support, with Michele Bachmann running third with 12%, followed by Sarah Palin at 11%.
In North Carolina, Perry, Romney, and Palin are now at 17%, with Herman Cain at 11%.
Now that Tim Pawlenty is out of the race, and Perry is in, it will be interesting to see what happens in the next week on the polling front.
