Gov. Rick Perry Unfazed by Hecklers as He Campaigns in New Hampshire – Video 8/18/11

Here is video of Gov. Rick Perry campaigning in New Hampshire today where he mingled with voters, looking completely unfazed by Leftist hecklers who kept rudely shouting at him as he talked with people.

The video also shows Perry talking very kindly and directly to a child, who asked him “how old” the earth is – and about evolution. Perry told the child he doesn’t know how old the earth is – and he thinks it may be that no one actually knows that for sure. He also told the child that evolution is a theory “with some gaps in it,” and that in Texas the public schools teach both Creationism and Evolution as theories in the classroom. At that, a woman with the child said (as if to the child), “Ask him why he doesn’t believe in science.”

Perry did a great job being kind to the child, talking to him very directly and personally, and at the same time dealing with the adult trying to give Perry a hard time. Perry has been blunt that the whole theory of man-caused Global Warming is a big racket, and he has certainly made enemies of the Left-wing environmental movement.
