A new We Ask America Poll out of Iowa shows Texas Gov. Rick Perry with a 12-point lead in the nation’s first voting state of the 2012 Election.
The poll was done on August 16, after Perry announced his run for President, and after Tim Pawlenty dropped out of the race.
Perry leads 29%-17% over second place Michele Bachmann, with Mitt Romney in third at 15%.
