Sarah Palin Comes to Rick Perry’s Defense: “More Power to Rick Perry for Calling It Like He Saw It” – Video 8/18/11

Here is video of Sarah Palin talking to Megyn Kelly this afternoon, where she came to the defense of Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Palin said, “More power to Rick Perry for calling it like he saw it.” She was referring to Perry’s remarks about the danger of the Federal Reserve printing more money as Election Day approaches to help Barack Obama get re-elected.

She also hammered Barack Obama for his “arrogance” in lecturing Perry in the wake of the remarks.

Palin continues to say she is considering a Presidential run herself. She is watching the current field and listening to the candidates to see if there is one she can put her “heart and soul behind.”

Palin didn’t say it, but this was sort’ve a hit on Santorum.  Palin and Santorum have an opposing relationship; meanwhile Perry and Palin are old chums (if my memory serves me).  With Palin behind Perry, Santorum doesn’t have a chance.  :-(

Very unfortunate…because I do NOT like Perry.  In fact, as much as I do not like Romney, I think I like (and trust) Perry less.

Perry vs. Obama.  Sigh.  Not a choice I want to have to make.

I did not know that Palin and Santorum have had an opposing relationship. Interesting.

As you can probably tell, I do like Rick Perry. I think he could be a great nominee – but time will tell. I don’t think Romney is going to be as easy to beat for the nomination as a lot of people think.  It’s going to be interesting to see how this GOP race plays out, and if anyone else gets in.

Perry’s a big amnesty, soft on illegal immigration guy.  Plus he’s got some very close ties to a number of Muslim groups.  These are two big game changers for me.  I can’t get on board with that.

But I think he’ll end up with the nomination.  Still lots of time yet though.

I know Perry supported a type of “Dream Act” in Texas that dealt with education only. It had nothing to do with citizenship, as the Federal DREAM act does. My understanding is that what Perry supported passed the state legislature without any opposition. He has been publicly talking about the need to secure the border. I have not seen him put out a plan of dealing with the millions of illegals already in the country.

Perry is a very strong Christian, so I can’t imagine him being too tied to Islamic groups – other than simply being polite and fair as the Governor of the State. What are you referring to?

This goes into some of his ties.  http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/Perry-Muslims-president-2012/2011/08/16/id/407505

What I like least about his ties with Muslims is this:

In 2008, Perry helped expand the Muslim Histories and Culture Project, a teacher-training program spearheaded by Texas Ismailis that introduces Islamic history and culture curricula into Texas schools.

I’d really like to see that curriculum.  Often times, these sort of histories in school systems attempt to revise actual history and give Muslims credit for things they have no business taking credit for.  As of yet, I don’t know if this is the case here or not.

Here’s more about Aga Khan: http://worldblog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/12/13/5642220-who-is-the-aga-khan

He sounds very moderate, but this is a bit sinister to me:

“Engel: Right now there is tension, and you can feel it on the streets, in the United States, in Western Europe, in relations with Muslim communities. What can be done to improve that and why do you think that tension is there?   Aga Khan: I’ve always referred to it as a conflict of ignorance and I still believe that’s the root of the problem. It’s very difficult.
If you look at the history of education in the industrialized world, you go back to the 1960s, there was no presence of Islamic culture. It was amazing. The Muslim world didn’t exist. Why? Because your educational background was a Judeo Christian background. No problem with that, but it didn’t adjust to the new world dimension. It must adjust to that new world dimension and that’s what’s happening now.”

Sounds as if he’s covertly trying to change our judeo-christian identity.  Maybe I’m just too skeptical, but it IS how the Muslims usually operate in any society they wish to take over.  Start off moderate until they get a strong toe hold and then things tend to crumble from there.

Looks like he’s already making headway with his plan in Texas with Perry.

Continuing on with Perry’s connections.  I can see where a more moderate person than myself might read this article and discount it, but I don’t.  I know too much about Islam and how it operates to ignore the warning sides.  I offer you the article…take it or leave it.
