GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann Pledges to Work “Extremely Hard” to Win South Carolina Primary; Calls it “the Portal” to Winning the GOP Nomination – Video 8/18/11

Here is video from South Carolina where GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann talked with Columbia station WISTV about how she intends to win the South Carolina Republican Primary, despite Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s entry into the race.

Bachmann said she would try to appeal to a broad spectrum of voters – not just the strongest conservative part of the party. She said she would work “extremely hard” to win South Carolina because “it’s the portal” to winning the GOP Nomination.

Bachmann repeated her pledge to bring gas prices down to under $2 a gallon if elected President, which she says she would do by opening up access to energy resources which would create “millions of high-paying jobs” across the country and bring prices down dramatically.
