Gov. Rick Perry Back in Texas After Week-Long Campaign Swing; Takes a Swipe at Obama’s 2008 Slogan, “Change You Can Believe In” – Video 8/20/11

Texas Gov. Rick Perry has returned home to Austin, Texas after a full week on the campaign trail, where he spent time in three key early-voting states: South Carolina, Iowa, and New Hampshire.

Perry told supporters in Austin that “it’s time to get America working again.” He tweaked President Obama’s 2008 campaign slogan – “Change you can believe in” – by saying when he talks about “change,” “I’m not talking about the rhetoric of change, I’m talking about the record of change.”

Perry’s wife Anita told the crowd that the women in South Carolina, where Perry announced his candidacy, told her to “lip up” – meaning look in the mirror and put on your lipstick – and “charge up to New Hampshire” to help her husband with the campaign.

Rick “The Establishment”  PERRYYY!  This politician supported Al Gore’s 1988 presidential campaign.  (http://www.enviroknow.com/2011/06/23/rick-perry-al-gore-1988/).  Research, for at least 5 minutes, BEFORE you vote.

Perry’s off to a good start. He let it be known he’s going to speak his mind and take the fight directly to Obama. That’s what we need to win in ’08.

Gov. you have my vote. We must have someone who can beat Obama and you are it!

You do know that was 23 years ago don’t you? You do know at that time the Democratic party wasn’t the Socialist party it is today, don’t you? My father a devout Christian, a life time Member of the Military and a Conservative to the bone, was a Democrat at one time, and I can guarantee you, when they started leaning left, he left and spent the rest of his life as a Republican.

texas probably ain’t too proud of you. I, as an American, am proud of him. He’s a bonifide winner and we must have a WINNER to stomp Obama.
