Report: Mitt Romney Plans to Bulldoze His 3,000 Sq. Ft. CA Home to Replace it with an 11,000 Sq. Ft. Home

This is one of those stories that makes you shake your head and ask, “Why?”
Apparently, Gov. Mitt Romney is planning to bulldoze his 3,000 square-foot home in California to build an 11,000 square-foot home in its place. It’s not that Romney doesn’t have the right build such a house if that’s what he wants. But it’s an odd thing to do during a Presidential Campaign:

If the application is approved, the new home will be a quaint 11,062 square feet. . . . . Read More
At least it fits right in with Mitt’s new more casual image. But, I guess it’s a matter of perspective. Compared to Democrat John Edwards’ 28,000 square-foot mansion, this will be a “modest” home. But being compared to John Edwards is not exactly a good idea.
