A new CNN poll on the 2012 GOP Presidential Nomination race shows Gov. Rick Perry surging to a 13-point lead nationally over Gov. Mitt Romney, 27%-14%. Gov. Sarah Plain places third at 10%, with GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann tied with former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani at 9%.
The results are a stunning turnaround from a previous CNN Poll just three weeks ago that had Mitt Romney leading Perry 23%-18%. Perry has now become the clear GOP front-runner nationally.
