A new Fox News Poll confirms what a raft of other polls have shown over the past week, and that is that Texas Gov. Rick Perry is now the clear front-runner for the 2012 GOP Presidential Nomination.
The Fox News poll has Perry up by 8-points over Mitt Romney, 26%-18%, with Sarah Palin well back at 8%. Michele Bachmann has fallen way back at only 4%.
Perry now holds a 9-point lead in the 40-day average of polls on the GOP Presidential race, 26.7%-17.7% over Mitt Romney.
