Democrat Congressman Says Obama Would Lose Virginia if Election were Held Today

Democrat Congressman Gerry Connolly is saying that President Obama would not win the state of Virginia if the Presidential Election were held today. Connolly thinks Obama still has time to turn things around, but his admission shows just how the reality of Obama’s difficult political situation is starting to sink into the minds of those in his own party. CNN: Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) said if the 2012 presidential election was held today, President Barack Obama wouldn’t win Virginia, a state he carried in 2008.
Speaking on local Washington radio station WTOP Friday, Connolly said, “In my opinion, no, today he would not win the state.”
