Glenn Beck Hammers Mitt Romney “Dirty Trick” in Attacking Rick Perry on Social Security – Video 9/13/11

Here is video of Glenn Beck on his Radio Show this morning hammering Mitt Romney for his “dirty trick” in attacking Rick Perry on Social Security during the GOP Debate last night in Florida.

Beck said Romney is “showing his progressive side” in attacking Perry for saying Social Security has failed and is a “Ponzi scheme.” Beck went even further, saying that if Romney gets the GOP Presidential Nomination, the Tea Party will likely “split off” and run a third-party candidate, giving the election to Barack Obama.

Let’s see if Bachmann, Romney and Santorum can offer up any proof…oh, that’s right, the truth is irrelevant to Team Romney

Carlos, that Florida poll is important because it was done after both debates – Sept 13. I’m traveling for a few days so it will be a while before I can update the poll data. But Perry actually went up in that poll in Florida in spite of all the attacks. We’ll see if it holds.

You’re a little delusional Carlos.  You’re like Nancy Pelosi – too partisan to admit what’s right in front of you.  You’ve heard what Perry has said, but it was stupid of him so you have to block it from your consciousness.  That’s fine.

Not sure where you came up with this business of me dictating to Floridians anything.  As a reminder, you brought up where you live.  Most of my family also calls it home.

Also not sure why you’re so fired up about Perry being so noble as to have served in the military, he flunked out of veterinarian school.  He admitted it yesterday while speaking on a college campus.  His courses were too hard and it propelled him right into the military. He’s not known as the smartest tack in the box.

Obviously this “free Cuba” refrain has you really fired up.  I guarantee you most folks have never heard of it nor would they care.  They’re a little more concerned right now with comments about “treason” and “Ponzi scheme”.  Keep harping on it though, you might get someone to listen.

I’m glad you think my husband and our friends are “gallant”.  Thank you at least for that.

    This may settle some things:
Governor Perry Has Repeatedly And Passionately Claimed That Social Security Is A Failure And The Program Should Not Exist:
Perry: “Get It Back To The States. Why Is The Federal Government Even In The Pension Program…? Let The States Do It.” PERRY: “When you look at Social Security, it’s broke. … Get it back to the states. Why is the federal government even in the pension program or the health care delivery program? Let the states do it. … That, I will suggest to you, is one of the ways this federal government can get out of our business, save a lot of money and get back to that Constitutional way of doing business in those enumerated powers that they’re supposed to have.” (MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” 11/5/10)
In Fed Up!, Perry Says Social Security Is In Place “At The Expense Of Respect For The Constitution.” “Social Security is something that we’ve been forced to accept for more than 70 years now. … at the expense of respect for the Constitution and limited government.” (Rick Perry, Fed Up!, 2010, p. 50)
    · “By Any Measure, Social Security Is A Failure.” (Rick Perry, Fed Up, 2010, p. 62)
Perry: “Let The States [Decide] How To Run The Pensions.” PERRY: “There’s a number of things in that book that will strike Americans as horrifying. And we must, as a people, get put back in the box. Get this government back to the limited form that our founding fathers sought. Let the states, whether it is how to run Medicaid, how to run the pensions.” (Fox’s “On The Record With Greta Van Susteren,” 11/8/10)
Perry Called Social Security A Program “That We Don’t Need.” PERRY: “I think every program needs to stand the sunshine of righteous scrutiny. Whether it’s Social Security, whether it’s Medicaid, whether it’s Medicare. You’ve got $115 trillion worth of unfunded liability in those three. … And I think we should have a legitimate, honest, national discussion about Washington’s continuing to spend money we don’t have on programs that we don’t need.” (Andrew Romano, “Rick Perry On The Record,” The Daily Beast, 8/12/11)

You are no longer current in your information dixielea . Guess you haven’t listened in the debates and more current interviews. Lots of twist and spin against Perry, huh? Amusing.

I don’t follow you.  What are you referring to?

  • Brian_FL

It is true that Romney is polling the strongest against Obama right now. But I would not dismiss Perry.

  • Tdizzle705

So would you rather have Obama again, or Romney? Romney is a centrist who can pass as a conservative.
