GOP’s Bob Turner Victory Speech in NY CD-9: “This is a Referendum. . . Mr. President, We are on the Wrong Track. . . We have Had It with Your Treatment of Israel” – Video 9/13/11

Here is video of Republican Bob Turner’s victory speech after he shockingly won the special election last night in New York’s 9th Congressional District. No Republican had won this seat since 1923 – until last night! With some votes still outstanding, Turner holds a 54%-46% lead, and was declared the winner shortly after midnight Eastern Time.

Turner, in his remarks, made clear his victory is a “referendum” on the failed Presidency of Barack Obama:

“We’ve been told this is a referendum. We are ready to say, ‘Mr. President, we are on the wrong track.’ We have had it with the irresponsible fiscal policy which endangers the entire economy and every one of our social safety networks. We have had it with your treatment of Israel. . . . We are unhappy. I am telling you I am the messenger. Heed us. This message will resound for a full year, and will resound into 2012. We only hope that our voices are heard, and we can start putting things right again.”
