Gov. Rick Perry Interview on “Hannity”; Says GOP Does Not Need to Nominate “Obama-Lite” in Mitt Romney – Complete Video 9/21/11

Here is video of Gov. Rick Perry on “Hannity” tonight, where he said there is no reason for Republicans to nominate “Obama-Lite” – someone who will “blur the lines” between themselves and Barack Obama. Perry said “Mitt” proved with “RomneyCare” that there was not much difference between himself and Obama with “ObamaCare.”

Perry also said any GOP Candidate who says he will try and “do away” with Social Security are simply not telling the truth, and he criticized anyone who tries to gain politically by scaring elderly people. Perry made clear he wants to fix the program for younger workers, and would make no changes for those already receiving benefits, or for those nearing retirement age.

I’m telling you. Rick Perry really comes across as Presidential!

You are totally right, Greg Jack.

He was in South Florida yesterday, and Michael Putney, a local, long-time liberal political reporter and commentator of stature, interviewed and though he obviously disagrees with on issues, stated that Gov. Perry came across, in person, (first time he met him) as a man of great stature, presence and character…i.e. what you just wrote, above!

That he can see why Perry has NEVER lost an election in 10 tries!

@ Brian, his answers on SS are definitely more polished now, excellent…Hannity, like he was in ’07 and ’08 is still a Romney hack.

I think he likes Mittens, although he has been fair to Perry so far in what I’ve heard him say. He did support Romney back in 2008 after Giuliani got out of the race.

I’ll have to look for that interview, Carlos. Thanks for mentioning it.
