New Rick Perry Ad Hits Romney for Changing His Book to Expunge Quote on Taking RomneyCare National – Video 9/26/11

Here is video of a new Rick Perry ad that hammers Mitt Romney over his changing of his book to delete an original statement that his Massachusetts RomneyCare Plan would be good for the entire country. Perry pointed out in last Thursday’s debate that Romney deleted the statement when his book went from hardcover to paperback – something Romney denied. The ad demonstrates that Romney did, indeed, make the deletion, knowing that his biggest weakness is his support of RomneyCare. To deal with the issue, Romney has maintained he never intended RomneyCare to go national, but that it was strictly a single state’s approach to deal with Health Care. His original statement shows that is simply not true – and he felt he had to expunge it in the wake of ObamaCare being passed.

Perry’s highlighting of yet another Romney flip-flop went virtually unnoticed in the media as all the attention fell on Perry’s debate performance. No other candidate has taken up the attack on Romney in the debates either, despite Romney’s longstanding status near the top of the GOP Polls.

If Romney becomes the GOP Nominee, you can be sure the Obama Campaign will highlight this same change made by Romney in his book to highlight that Romney once favored an ObamaCare-like plan for the nation.
