New NRSC Ad Hits Montana Democrat Sen. Jon Tester for Voting with Obama “97% of the Time” – Video 9/27/11

Here is video of a new National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) ad that hammers Montana Democrat Sen. Jon Tester for voting with President Obama “97% of the time” – including for ObamaCare. It focuses on Tester being, they say, the #1 recipient of lobbyist money in Washington.

I had the …pleasure of being part of a Town Hall held by phone prior to the Healthcare vote. He hadn’t read it, didn’t know what was in it, trusted Bachus implicitly (remember the Senate closed doors committees working on it), and regurgitated Caucus talking points repeatedly about how this would cover the uninsured. One woman (I believe they were ranchers)  whose child was born with many issues, and for some reason the child wasn’t covered at the moment, or they didn’t have enough…I don’t remember the specific, but it was thousands of $$ a month. They tried Medicaid, Medicare, and any ‘government run’ health care assistance out there in an effort to cover this child. And were turned down by all. Her question was simply why were they turned down by these government agencies when they desperately needed it, and why should she believe this HealthCare reform would be any different, or needed when supposedly there were already programs in place?
He just spewed that this is why we need this Healthcare Bill–and the public option, was for coverage for children that other insurances would not cover–that ‘they’ turned down. He blithely ignored the fact that she was talking about government programs already in place to supposedly pick up cases like these, and was getting no assistance from them.
I didn’t vote for him to begin with, and after that I point blank told him (well through his office email I’m sure he never saw) he was Dem inner-circle wanna-be. Both he and Bachus need to go.
