Here is video of Herman Cain’s detailed interview tonight with Greta Van Susteren about the Politico story on allegations of sexual harassment leveled at Cain in the 1990’s by two women.

Cain reiterated that he has never sexually harassed anyone, but was accused by a woman when he worked at the National Restaurant Association. Cain said he made a gesture comparing the height of the woman to the height of his wife, never intending anything sexual about it. But the woman took it wrong and filed a complaint, which an investigation showed was without basis, he said.

Cain said he does not know who is behind this attack, but believes it is because he is now leading the GOP race.

Limbaugh said Politico has “launched an unconscionable racially stereotypical Attack on an independent self-reliant Conservative Black.” He called it “gutter partisan politics – the politics of minority conservative personal destruction.”

Here is video from this morning of Politico’s Jonathan Martin being asked to be more specific about exactly what Politico is saying Herman Cain did in the 1990’s that was “inappropriate behavior.” Politico has run with a story about two women who supposedly said Cain engaged in “inappropriate behavior” toward them while he was head of the National Restaurant Association over a decade ago.

But Martin refused to give any specific details, instead saying they have to be “very careful” to protect their sourcing.

Politico Reporter Hesitant to Get Specific about Allegations Against Herman Cain – Video 10/31/11

Here is video of Geraldo Rivera taking a call last night from Herman Cain spokesman J.D. Gordon about the Politico story alleging that Cain was accused of “inappropriate behavior” by two women during the 1990’s when he was head of the National Restaurant Association.

Gordon said the allegations are “thinly sourced,” but he would not outright deny that money was paid to two women who accused Cain of “inappropriate behavior.”

Cain is going to have to address this head on and get the facts out there. These non-denials won’t put this story to rest. Cain is expected to appear before the National Press Club today and take questions from reporters.

Here is video of Ann Coulter tonight reacting to the hitpiece story published by Politico tonight against Herman Cain, saying two anonymous women accused Cain of “inappropriate behavior” toward them back in the 1990’s.

Coulter called the attack another “high-tech lynching” akin to what liberals did to Clarence Thomas when he was nominated for the Supreme Court. Coulter said liberals are “terrified of Herman Cain. . . He is a strong, conservative black man. They are terrified of strong, conservative black men.”

Ann Coulter Calls Politico Attack on Herman Cain “Another High-Tech Lynching”; “Liberals are Terrified of Herman Cain” – Video 10/30/11

Herman Cain’s Campaign is already firing back at a story published by Politico tonight on two women who supposedly accused Cain of “inappropriate behavior” back in the 1990’s when he was head of the National Restaurant Association. Cain’s campaign calls the story an “unsubstantiated personal attack,” using “thinly sourced allegations.”

DAILY CALLER: Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain’s campaign is accusing Politico of “unsubstantiated personal attacks” after the news outlet published a story Sunday night claiming two unnamed women made sexual harassment allegations against the candidate more than a decade ago.

“Fearing the message of Herman Cain who is shaking up the political landscape in Washington, Inside the Beltway media have begun to launch unsubstantiated personal attacks on Cain,” J.D. Gordon, Cain’s spokesman, said in a statement provided to The Daily Caller.

Gordon continued: “Dredging up thinly sourced allegations stemming from Mr. Cain’s tenure as the Chief Executive Officer at the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, political trade press are now casting aspersions on his character and spreading rumors that never stood up to the facts.” . . . UPDATE: AP reports the Cain Campaign says “allegations were not true.” When asked if they were denying the report, Cain spokesman said, “Yes.”

Herman Cain Campaign Fires Back at Politico Story: An “Unsubstantiated Personal Attack” Using “Thinly Sourced Allegations” – 10/30/11

Politico is out with a story tonight that Herman Cain was accused of “inappropriate behavior” by two women in the 1990’s when he was head of the National Restaurant Association. The video above is of Politico’s Jonathan Martin describing the story, and saying he asked Herman Cain today if he had ever been accused of harassment, to which Cain gave no answer.

These are the worst kinds of hitpiece stories. It supposedly happened more than a decade ago. The accusers are not named. It’s almost impossible to deny or verify. It would be interesting to know if Politico got the tip on this completely on their own, or were they tipped off by one of the other GOP Campaigns anxious to stop Herman Cain.

It’s worth remembering the smear on Justice Clarence Thomas when he was nominated to the Supreme Court, and the attack on John McCain in early 2008 after he secured the GOP Nomination.

Here is video of a new Rick Perry ad set to begin running in Iowa tomorrow. In the ad, Perry talks directly to people, saying “I’m a doer, not a talker.”

Perry seeks to make his not so great debate performances an asset by saying:

“If you’re looking for a slick politician or a guy with great teleprompter skills, we already have that, and he’s destroying our economy. I’m a doer, not a talker . . . “

Here is video of Texas Gov. Rick Perry in an extensive interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday today.

Wallace began by asking Perry about his debate performances. Perry readily admitted he is “not the best debater,” but joked he may turn out to be pretty good by the time he gets through all of them. Perry committed to taking part in the next five scheduled debates, after several days in which his campaign had floated the possibility he might skip upcoming debates. Wallace asked him bluntly if he can stand on the stage with Barack Obama in front of 100 million people and make the case against Obama effectively. Perry said he was not afraid at all to stand on the stage with Obama and draw a very bright line between his record and the failed record of Obama.

Perry also talked about his “Flat Tax” Plan, and a number of other policy issues.

Here are video highlights from Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s speech in Manchester, New Hampshire on Friday. Perry seemed liberated and free in his remarks, almost to an odd extent. He hit many of his usual themes, but with some facial expressions we really have not seen before.

He certainly does not seem down or discouraged.
