Mitt Romney Ad Hammers Rick Perry on Putting Social Security Under the States; Imagines Dire Consequences in Florida – Video 10/4/11

Here is video of a new Mitt Romney ad that continues to hammer Texas Gov. Rick Perry in Florida on the issue of Social Security. The ad takes Perry’s idea of placing management of Social Security under the states, and uses Florida as an example – imagining dire consequences.

Good ad. Perry doesn’t think before he throws these ideas out there, nor does he have an actual plan for how they’d work.  Not only will he lose this election, but his popularity in TX will go down now that Texans know him better.  (The same thing happened to Sarah Palin in Alaska.)

Oh, The Romney Hack, Dixielea is back…could you elucidate for us where you actually reside and what date will be your primary, as you are a non-Floridian.

I concur with you that Gov. Romney is rising, overall, and at the end of the day, for a variety of historical and idiosyncratic reasons will obtain the nomination, however, to believe that he is going to roll over Obama/Axelrod/Ploufee is a fallacy.

Lastly, though I will vote for the GOP nominee, as I have since 1988, and has had my family has done since the Ike era, how does Willard Mitt’s desire to curtail/ban alcohol (unless they serve his interest in Nevada), outlaw legal pornography (with former exception of Marriott hotel chains), caffeine (hypocritically since he made millions off of Dunkin Donuts) etc. and ram down the Book of Mormon, the Angel Moroni, etc. with LDS Grand Wizard Thomas Monson advance the cause of getting to 270 electoral votes????

As the grandson and son of US veterans of the intelligence community, “The Company”, they are NOT buying Slick Mitt’s propaganda and demagoguery…though were we do agree is that Perry is not ready for prime time.

Do you know what the “Chilean model” for SS is, Dixielea? do you know who Gen Pinochet was? The Chicago Boys???? Allende?

  • Harrah

I’m telling you, Romney’s put out some really great ads. Whoever he’s got working for him, he needs to keep em around.

Bah ha ha.  That must’ve been some serious crow eating for you to write that Carlos.  Far from gracious, rather bigoted, but nonetheless, you did it.  Good for you.  I don’t see much in your comment that is worthy of reply, but can assume you’re now in the Cain camp with your Chilean model question.  Good luck to you on this one, but since I seem to have the crystal ball – Cain isn’t going to win either.

    @dixielea:disqus
Dixielea, are you so utterly clueless that you can not parse and understand the nuances of my response above?

Why are you engaging in ad hominen attacks, when I have conceded, that your candidate, will get the nod ???

“Crow Eating”? don’t think so, still going to vote for Perry on January 31st. Unlike you, and I have NO doubt you are a left wing troll, i want to WIN in November, both the White House and the Senate.

Herman Cain did not invent the Chilean model, that was Gen. Pinochet, after his 1973 coup, with US support, when we ousted Salvador Allende, a communist and KGB employee that had usurped the constitution to gain power.

He brought in the Chicago Boys (Austrian School of Economics) with Milton Friedman and implemented it…at the end of the day, it is essentially what has been bandied around for a while, in terms of IRA type accounts, etc.

As for my religious beliefs, I am NOT going to apologize for being a proud Roman Catholic and defender of the Bishop of Rome…anti-Catholic bigotry, in this day and age is odious, you should be ashamed of yourself. (So you must hate John Boehner, Clarence Thomas, John Roberts, Scalia, Alito, Giuliani, Gingrich, etc too???)

Oh Carlos, your guesses about me are hilarious.  Your vitriol is amusing.  You use words you don’t quite understand, and claim association with relatives to try to elevate your standing in a conversation as though that reflects on you or matters at all.  The points you try to make are absurd.  Example:  you suggest I should be ashamed of myself for supposedly being “anti-Catholic” when I had no idea of your religion until you just stated it.  At what point did I suggest Herman Cain was the inventor of the Chilean model?  It is you who cannot parse a conversation.  I wouldn’t bother with you except you amuse me.  I picture you at home at your computer with your blood pressure soaring and spit hitting the screen.

Unlike you, a coward and a troll, I have 3 blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and my life is an open book…you will not even confirm where you live and your rhetoric about the Florida Panhandle, where you purportedly lived, is counter-factual.

You can mock and denigrate me, all you want, and once again you cast aspersions against family members (my father, Guido Echevarria, Sr., and Jose Antonio Echevarria) who were fighting the commies in the Cold War while your family and you were engaging in perfidy against the Republic.

Look them up, go to the Bay of Pigs Museum…I am proud of my heritage and every candidate, be it Democrat or Republican when they come to Little Havana, Miami, go and pay homage there.

You really are, like Slick Mitt, trash siphoned out of the sewer….a scumbag of imponderable proportions

Another rash of inaccurate guesses.  Because you know almost nothing about me and forget the things I did divulge, you’re left to toss grenades and hope one hits.  None have so far.  You’re wrong on everything.

Here are some commenting tips for you in the future: over the top vitriol does nothing to further your cause. Your ancestor’s histories say nothing about YOU, and do nothing to make YOU more creditable. I could trot out far more impressive family histories and current ones too, but you are a total stranger and we’re online, and I’m not delusional about thinking they prop me up.

You mock YOURSELF Carlos. Try not giving out so much personal information, making ridiculous guesses, refrain from bigoted comments, and stay away from childish name calling.  You’ll keep your blood pressure in check and be more creditable.

Hey guys, let’s bring it down a notch. Let’s keep it respectful. I am grateful to all who have served our nation. My Dad also served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, and I am very grateful for the service of your family members who have done so much for our nation.

It is not a matter of giving out personal information, moron, it is my reality:

BTW, every time I sign in and post a comment it is linked to my twitter account, so you obviously have no clue whatsoever as to what is transpiring around you.

What type of person denies their mere existence, particularly, as we both live in America???

This is the last message I convey to you…Churchill (since you don’t know anything about history google him) always advocated being magnanimous in victory, however, as opposed, to, ironically, trying to get me on your side, in light of my concession that Romney will be the candidate, you opt to lambast me, my family (two US veterans), my heritage, my verbiage, my personal faith, etc???

  • Anonymous

LOL.  Good to see you know the word lambast since you enjoy doing it so much.  Who is denying their existence? More bizarre accusations?  Do you literally think you’re magnanimous???  Holy cow, I’d hate to see what you’re like when you’re being ugly.  You’re an interesting case Carlos.  Glad to know you won’t be replying anymore to my comments since you’re the one to initiate these conversations.  You’ve been in way over your head as you’ve discovered.
