Bill Bennett at Values Voter Summit Says Obama is Doing America Harm: Obama “Must Go” – Video 10/8/11

Here is video of conservative Bill Bennett speaking at the 2011 Values Voter Summit, where he said very bluntly that President Obama is bringing America “down,” and is “harming us.” He said, Obama “must go.”

Bill stated what he said would be a perfect bumper sticker:

“If you voted for him the last time to prove you are not a racist, you must vote against him this time to prove you are not an idiot.”

Bennett also defended, without using his name, Mitt Romney, from the statement of Texas Pastor Robert Jeffress, who yesterday, in introducing Gov. Rick Perry, said Evangelical Christians should not vote for just a good, moral person, but for a committed follower of Jesus Christ. After leaving the stage, Jeffress confirmed he believes Romney’s Mormon faith is a “cult,” and that Christians should not support a candidate who is not a follower of Jesus Christ. Jeffress did not say a non-Christian does not have a right to run for President, but that Evangelical Christians should vote for someone who is a believer in the historic Christian faith. Rick Perry’s campaign distanced itself from the Jeffress comments. In his remarks today, Bennett said Jeffress had done Perry no favors, and had overshadowed the speeches of all the GOP Candidates who spoke at the conference.
