Rick Santorum Says He Does Not Want to Peak Too Early; Goes After Herman Cain and other GOP Rivals – Video 10/9/11
Here is video of former Sen. Rick Santorum on Fox News Sunday where he talked about his Presidential Campaign, and went after his GOP rivals. Santorum said he is planning to “peak” in January and not right now. He raised just over $500,000 in the previous quarter, and said he will be a little “north” of that in the most recent quarter.
Santorum had negative things to say about several of his leading GOP rivals:
On Mitt Romney, he contends his campaign “bullied” early-voting states to move their caucuses and primaries to earlier in January to benefit his chances.
On Rick Perry, Santorum said “has a lot of questions to answer about his record in Texas” – on whether he really does have a “consistently conservative record.”
On Herman Cain, Santorum dissed him as being a “non-politician” because he “lost races” – because “he failed.”
It will be interesting to see if Santorum expands his attacks on GOP rivals beyond Rick Perry during the upcoming debates.
