Reuters Reporting that Libyan Dictator Moammar Gadhafi is Dead – 10/20/11

Reuters is reporting that Libyan Dictator Moammar Gadhafi is dead – killed as his hometown of Sirte fell to forces of the new Libyan Government:

REUTERS: Former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi died of wounds suffered on Thursday as fighters battling to complete an eight-month-old uprising against his rule overran his hometown Sirte, Libya’s interim rulers said.

His killing, which came swiftly after his capture near Sirte, is the most dramatic single development in the Arab Spring revolts that have unseated rulers in Egypt and Tunisia and threatened the grip on power of the leaders of Syria and Yemen.

“He (Gaddafi) was also hit in his head,” National Transitional Council official Abdel Majid Mlegta told Reuters. “There was a lot of firing against his group and he died.” . . . Read More

Gaddafi who was captured alive, should have been treated as prisoner of war and put on trial. But Gaddafi was indeed killed in the back of a truck. Killing of Gaddafi really raise some questions about the command and discipline of the anti- Gaddafi forces and what Libya is going to be like in future under the control of anti- Gaddafi forces.

Very true,,,,, Current rebellion supported by NATO its self is question mark,, we are not sure which direction things are going to move but offcourse must  be in the favour of conspirors…. oil game..

Nalliah and Kashif, I hold no water for Gadhafi, but the irony is that, as of late, after he doled out the Pan Am reperations, he was very helpful to us, in terms of intel on the Benghazi rebels who were killing American GIs in Iraq, trained by Al Qaeda.

Moreover, he was basically a secular leader and had been quite helpful in stemming the massive immigration rise in Southern EU states, particularly Italy.

Make no mistake about it, these “democratic rebels”, are by and large handmaidens of Jihadis, without taking into account the plethora of tribes, factions, etc. inherent to the nation state of Libya.

Again, let me reiterate, his track record in the 80s of killing Americans and Brits, via IRA explosives, was appalling and reprehensible, but he was the proverbial Devil We Know in North Africa.

Lastly, as for yesterday, the disintegration begins, as they did not transport his body back to Tripoli, as ordered by PM Mahmoud Jibril…but rather paraded it like a trophy, in a very unprofessional and classless manner.
