Sen. Marco Rubio Responds to Attack He has Embellished His Parents’ Story as Cuban Exiles – Video 10/21/11
You think the Left is not afraid of Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio? It appears they are already trying to keep him off the 2012 GOP Presidential ticket as the Vice-Presidential nominee.
In this video, Rubio responds to a Washington Post story that tries to paint him as having "embellished" the story of his Cuban Exile parents coming to America. While Rubio admits he got some dates wrong, he said the "story" of his parents has not been embellished, because they absolutely were exiles. The first came to the U.S. prior to Castro taking power in Cuba, but tried to return in 1961. His mother was there for four weeks, and realized Cuba was now under communist control. She returned to the U.S. for good, exiles from Communism.
