Charles Krauthammer Calls Herman Cain “Incoherent” in Wake of Abortion Comments – Video 10/21/11

Here is video of Charles Krauthammer last night hammering Herman Cain as being “incoherent” when it comes to abortion. On the one hand, Herman Cain has always said, and continues to say, he is “100% Pro-Life.” He even continues to be approved as “Pro-Life” by the National Right to Life Committee. However, in recent interviews with John Stossel and Piers Morgan, Cain made comments that have led many to believe his has Pro-Choice leanings – or at least the old “I’m personally against abortion but. . . . ” that has been used by the Left to argue for it.

This whole thing is disastrous for Cain. I continue to believe that Herman Cain is a strong conservative, and that he is strongly Pro-Life. That has been his position for years and years. But there is no doubt that at the least, Herman Cain was completely inarticulate in those interviews in talking about the subject of abortion. That should not happen on an issue as basic to conservatives as abortion. The fact this could ever become an issue is very problematic when thinking of Cain as the GOP Nominee. You just can’t have these kinds of unforced errors if you hope to win the nomination – or the General Election.
