Bill O’Reilly: Herman Cain’s Popularity is “the Story” of the 2012 GOP Nomination Race So Far – Video 10/27/11
Here is video of Bill O’Reilly giving his “Talking Points” last night, where he said the Republican Party is “on the brink.”
By that he meant that Herman Cain’s strong candidacy is putting the GOP in a quandry, because he is taking votes away from Gov. Rick Perry. O’Reilly pointed out that Cain has only “six paid staffers in New Hampshire and Iowa combined,” which many pundits point to in questioning how serious he is about actually winning the nomination. O’Reilly said Cain’s popularity with voters is “the story” of the 2012 GOP Nomination race at this point.
O’Reilly also said Rick Perry could still be a huge factor with his war chest if he decides to stay “in it to win it.” He could do real damage to both Romney and Cain with ads if he chooses to do so.
I think many people are underselling Cain’s chances of actually winning the nomination. If he can win in Iowa, Cain has a tremendous chance tow in it all. He will then run very strong in South Carolina and throughout the South and Plains. Newt Gingrich still bears watching. He has real momentum, and could increasingly become the anti-Romney candidate if some of Herman Cain’s support begins to erode.
