Dick Morris Says Rick Perry is “Stupid” for Talking about Skipping GOP Debates; Praises Herman Cain’s “999 Plan” as “Terrific” – Video 10/27/11

Here is video of Dick Morris talking to Greta Van Susteren last night about the Rick Perry Campaign’s hinting that Perry just may decide to skip some of the upcoming GOP Presidential Debates.

Dick Morris it is “stupid” for Perry to talk about skipping debates, because everyone knows the reason he is considering that is because he is afraid, due to his poor debate performances. Morris said the GOP Debates are actually an audition to be the person who debates Barack Obama in the General Election.

Morris praised Herman Cain and his “999 Plan,” calling it “terrific,” because it would fundamentally change the U.S. Tax System.

Morris said Mitt Romney’s camp is happy at Rick Perry’s “demise,” and actually hope to have only Cain to face in the second half of the Nomination race. But Morris warned they may be underestimating Cain, like most of the other pundits are doing.

Morris also went against the conventional wisdom that what matters most in Iowa and New Hampshire is the “ground game,” and “organization.” Many are criticizing Cain for not focusing on that. Morris said that “enthusiasm” is far more important, and that the GOP Debates are what people are watching in this election cycle. In the end, Morris believes Cain will probably win Iowa, Romney will win New Hampshire, Cain will win South Carolina, and then the two of them will battle it out in the states to follow.
