Anita Perry Reassures People Husband Rick Will Take Part in More than Just One Upcoming GOP Debate

Rick Perry’s wife, Anita, tried reassuring people yesterday that her husband will participate in more of the upcoming GOP Presidential Debates than just the one scheduled for November 9, but continued to talk as if he might not be at all of them.

Over the past week, a number of Perry Advisers have hinted that Perry will skip some of the debates scheduled between now and the first voting that will take place in Iowa on January 3, 2012.

POLITICO: Anita Perry conceded to Radio Iowa that the campaign needs to work up support in New Hampshire, and acknowledged again that the campaign has been rocky. But she also indicated, hours after her husband demurred about whether he’ll skip some debates as his aides have suggested he will, that he’ll be at more than just the Nov. 9 one he’s committed to even as she said they are a time suck . . . . @ Brian, are you a Cardinals fan, since you live in Missouri ? If so, congrats, I was rooting for you guys (though I am a 3rd generation Yankees fanatic, LOL), as I have immense respect for St Louis and Tony La Russa.

I like Anita Perry, a great deal, she would make a fine First Lady of the Republic…but sadly, it looks like the GOP is going to opt for Ann Romney’s husband.

Carlos, no, I haven’t really been a Cardinals fan. But it was a truly great World Series by two fine teams. It was one you hated to see anyone have to be the loser.

I like Perry, and this lady looks like a very good person [I've read up on her work].  But while I trust Perry, I fear he cannot recover, and unfortunately, Romney is a better debater & that is a attribute that will be needed next year.

I was leaning towards Perry, but beating Barry is #1 next November, I no longer believe Perry can do it. I honestly do not know who to vote for, I’m a recovering dem now independent, I’ve never followed the repub candidate, except with Reagan, and yes I was one of those idiots who voted for Carter, and then voted for Reagan as a Reagan dem twice.

I really like Herman Cain, I like his genuineness, he doesn’t know all the answers, admits he doesn’t, learns, and then tells his opinions, and from everything I’ve read he is for small govt, for constitutional govt, but he also has a streak of libertarianism, which I like.  But he is also a stage 4 cancer survivor, for me, it makes no difference, but I’m worried how this will be attacked by the liberal mainstream media and how this will affect his electability in the general.

When those attacks start, and he is able to successfully fend it off, then I’ll be convinced to vote for him.  Perhaps a Romney/Cain ticket might be the best one, I have friends who are former Barry voters that like Romney and Cain, but they are not fans of Perry, oh and they love Ron Paul as well.

So, still undecided, but anyone who has the best chance of kicking out Barry next november  takes higher precedent than someone who may be the most constitutionally conservative, Of course for congressional candidates, I will not be making that comprise.
