Politico Claims Herman Cain Accused of “Inappropriate Behavior” by Two Women in the 1990′s – Video 10/30/11
Politico is out with a story tonight that Herman Cain was accused of “inappropriate behavior” by two women in the 1990′s when he was head of the National Restaurant Association. The video above is of Politico’s Jonathan Martin describing the story, and saying he asked Herman Cain today if he had ever been accused of harassment, to which Cain gave no answer.
These are the worst kinds of hitpiece stories. It supposedly happened more than a decade ago. The accusers are not named. It’s almost impossible to deny or verify. It would be interesting to know if Politico got the tip on this completely on their own, or were they tipped off by one of the other GOP Campaigns anxious to stop Herman Cain.
It’s worth remembering the smear on Justice Clarence Thomas when he was nominated to the Supreme Court, and the attack on John McCain in early 2008 after he secured the GOP Nomination.
