Herman Cain’s Chief of Staff Accuses Perry Campaign of Leaking Sexual Harassment Story – Video 11/2/11

Herman Cain’s Chief of Staff Mark Block accuses Rick Perry of being behind the sexual harassment leak. Block said Perry owes Cain an apology and called the Perry campaign’s actions “despicable.”

(Fox News) – Herman Cain’s top aide accused Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s camp of leaking stories to the media about sexual harassment allegations from the 1990s that have rocked the former pizza company executive’s presidential campaign.

“This is one of the actions in America that is the reason why people don’t get involved in politics,” Mark Block, chief of staff to Cain’s campaign, said in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Special Report. “The actions of the Perry campaign are despicable.”

No, Herman Cain and HIS campaign owe Rick Perry and his family an apology. Has everyone forgotten the way Cain treated Perry after the WaPo tried to make something of the N**** Rock? Without getting any of the facts, Cain threw Perry under the bus. Perry, on the other hand, has refused to condemn Cain here, has refused to even discuss the subject. HIS behavior has been consistent with that of a Christian gentleman–Cain’s has NOT.

Moreover, if Mark Block wants to blame Curt Anderson, he’d better look at the timetable first. Anderson was hired on October 24. This story came out on October 31 and Politico had been working on this story for three weeks before they released it. Anderson today made a very respectful statement with plenty of nice things to say about Cain, but a firm denial that he had anything to do with this scandal.

You know, there are lots of other things going on in the world. Greece is about to go up in flames and Israel and Iran are toe-to-toe. Meanwhile, we’re tied up with a gaffe-prone GOP candidate who’s taken to blaming the Governor of Texas and the Mayor of Chicago for his problems. Lovely. /sarcasm

Great points, M92. I have no doubt this was all orchestrated by the campaign of Willard Mitt Romney…I continue to stand, proudly, with Gov. Perry.
