Two new polls out of Iowa show Newt Gingrich surging to within four-points of the top of the GOP Presidential Field.
Herman Cain leads Gingrich by a 22%-18% margin in a new We Ask America Poll, with Mitt Romney in third at 15%.
In a new poll by JMC Enterprises, Cain and Romney are tied at the top with 20%, followed by Gingrich at 16%.
That’s a major move up for Gingrich. He had only 5% support in the We Ask America poll conducted on August 16. Cain was also at only 5% in that August poll.
