Two new national polls on the GOP Presidential Nomination race show Newt Gingrich continuing to make a strong move up. A new CBS News/New York Times Poll has Gingrich tied for second place with Mitt Romney, and trailing Herman Cain by only 3-points, 18%-15%. In a new Marist/McClatchy survey, Gingrich is in second place behind Mitt Romney, trailing 23%-19%, with Herman Cain in third place at 17%.
In our 21-day average of National Polls, Herman Cain is now clinging to a slim one-point lead over Mitt Romney, 23.6% – 22.6%, with New Gingrich at 13.5%.
