Glenn Beck and Crew Review Herman Cain’s Libya Gaffe; Calls it an “Implosion” – Video 11/15/11

Here is video of Glenn Beck and crew on his radio show this morning reacting to Herman Cain’s Libya Gaffe during an interview yesterday. Beck said that to him, Cain’s halting response was “an implosion.”

This is one of the big reasons this country is plummeting downhill.  We have an enemy in the white house as bad as it has ever been but we can’t overlook 1 man on our side’s bad day.  We have to play it and criticize him over and over, giving our enemies tactical power to push forward the opponents that are less threatening to their overall cause, including the cause of trying to maintain a monopoly over voters that are “minorities” regardless of the fact they have been an utter failure at making their lives better over the past 50 years.  Why isn’t Glenn Beck playing one of many of Obama’s stuttering starts and stops next to this instead?  Why is nobody pointing out that despite Cain’s seemingly headache-induced response, he still managed to pinpoint the fundamental problem in the Libya policy is our President didn’t give a rip and had zero plan regarding what group was taking over what we were getting rid of.  The president’s decisions are life and death but Herman Cain’s bad day is not – it’s what he does normally on a day to day that matters.  What Obama does normally on a day to day is tragic.

Very well said, Brad. But it is a real Catch 22 for Republicans. Finding the middle ground between not doing what you describe and using a level of scrutiny that makes sure we nominate someone who won’t implode when they have to debate Barack Obama, or meltdown during the General Election Campaign, is the challenge. Anyone can have a bad day. But they can’t have a bad day during a Presidential Debate one week before the Presidential Election.

I am reposting well written thoughts by a fellow Cain supporter, Robin Sortwell. For all you pragmatists and those who only want to see Obama defeated, here’s my reasoning why only Cain can beat Obama:1. In the last election we saw over 90% of the black vote go to Obama. Now,that black vote will be split since the reason for voting for Obama (breaking the glass ceiling), no longer exists. A large percentage of blacks in the South are family-oriented, community-minded, and religious. They will vote for Cain who shares their values and beliefs. And this time they can vote for a man who deserves to be a black President on merit and not on race.2. True conservatives, socially and fiscally, will vote for Cain. The Republican Party has yet to realize that none of the other candidates are electable because many of us will no longer toe the party line. I respect Ron Paul, as I am sure many do, but his policies just won’t work in our current framework of government. Newt is a great strategist and someone that would be great to have around, but not as the leader. It’s great to have a pitbull on your side, but you better be able to control him. Perry may have changed his liberal views but he still has a way to go in ridding himself of his liberal mindset. Maybe, someday for Michelle Bachman, but right now she doesn’t inspire anyone as a leader. I have always liked Santorum, but he is too much a “wanna-be” Newt and is still trying to “play the game.” And, Romney, what can I say, I wouldn’t vote for him EVER and from my research there is at least 25% of the Republican voters out there that feel the same way. The rest of the candidates are too moderate to liberal.
    3. If Cain is the nominee, he will receive the vote of those who are only voting to remove Obama from the Presidency or who are voting Republican, “just because.” From my observations in point 2, any other nominee than Cain, will result in a large exodus from the Republican Party to vote 3rd party.4. Cain appeals to the Latino community. They see many of there own struggles personified in Cain and they respect his traditional values.5. Conservative Christians, no matter what their race, will vote for Cain. He is a respected member of the Christian community.6. Cain will get the vote of those who are looking for someone who understands the business world. Despite what Romney would like us to believe, he never “swept any parking lots” of any of his businesses! LOL7. The moderates will vote for Cain if he is the nominee because they already understand that Obama is more liberal than they initially realized.8. And, my own observation, any Republican woman who doesn’t vote for Cain based solely on the recent allegations, is a hypocrite. Did the community of Republican women back away from Meg Whitman or Sarah Palin when the media smeared them? No. Think about the double standard you are holding. So to summarize: Cain will take away black votes from Obama. True conservatives and tea-partiers will vote for Cain only. Conservative Christians will vote for Cain. Cain appeals to a diverse community of voters. Small and large business will support him. And, the rest will come onboard because they will support the Republican nominee.

I guess you don’t understand Glen. Herman Cain has just gotten thru 11/2 weeks of intense grilling over these fake sexual allegations. The GOT-YA questions you know? I’m sure  Herman Cain felt he has to know what these reporters, who we do not even see in this clip, is asking specifically. His campaign released a statement that he had had only 4 hours sleep the night before this interview. Even with having multiple news interviews about all of the allegations against him he did not cancel any of his campaign appearances…  Cut him a little slack will you? I reallly expected better from you than to throw Herman Cain under the bus. You know how important this election is to all of us! Dear God, he’s our best hope to turn this country around from the dead end it is headed to @ break neck speed. This is a good man as opposed to our current occupant of the White House. Look at the other hand as you always say!!

Amen, Brad… Don’t you sometimes wonder who’s side some of these people are on… We are all human & cannot perform perfectly like robots every day!!! If they watched that clip they could see how fidgety Herman Cain became… something wasn’t right & I can’t pin point it… But once he pinned them down on the question he had a spot on excellent & truthful response without a pause… Herman Cain is not a candidate who skirts around the issues when he’s asked a question! He has a direct answer but it also has to be a direct question,,, not a got ya question!
