Two new polls out of Iowa show a very tight race shaping up there, just seven weeks away from the Iowa Caucuses.
As you see, Herman Cain leads both polls, but by only one-point. Newt Gingrich is clearly making a strong move in Iowa, with Mitt Romney in the mix at the top. One poll actually shows Ron Paul just one-point off the lead, but the other has him 10-points behind. We’ll watch future polls to see if Paul’s support is growing in Iowa.
In our 21-Day Average of Polls for Iowa, Herman Cain still has a 3.8-point lead – Cain 21%, Romney 17.2%, Gingrich 17%.
