Complete Video of the “Thanksgiving Family Forum” GOP Presidential Debate in Iowa with Frank Luntz – Video 11/19/11

UPDATE 11/20/11 5:35 PM ET: The complete video has now been made available on YouTube. You see it posted above.

UPDATE 11/20/11 2:52 PM: It appears the sponsors of the event don’t want video of the forum embedded on other sites. It worked here earlier as well as at multiple other blogs. But you can go here to see the working video of the entire debate.

NOTE: Click the progress bar about 30 minutes into the video for the actual beginning of the candidate forum.

In case you missed it (it was not on TV nationally), here is complete video from today’s “Thanksgiving Family Forum” GOP Presidential Debate in Iowa that was moderated by Frank Luntz. The forum was held in a church, and Frank Luntz does not begin to lead the discussion until around the 30 minute mark of the video. Before the candidates came out, Luntz asked if anyone was there from “Occupy Wall Street.” He asked them not to interrupt the 2-hour forum and offered to let someone from their group to speak for 2 minutes in return. One man stepped forward and spoke against the Federal Reserve, saying he hoped it would be addressed during the Forum.

I just finished watching the Thanksgiving Family Forum . Crying oh my gosh the sharing that went on was powerful. The thing I wanted to share about if you watch it, is to look at Rick Perry as he listens. His compassion, his leaning in toward each candidate that speaks and shares a story of how God has been powerful in their lives etc. Here is a man, Rick Perry, that has been attacked horribly by Herman Cain, has had the race card used against him by Herman Cain, has been omitted by Cain as to who he would support for President etc. and when Cain broke down a little telling how hearing he had 4 stage cancer…..RICK PERRY… reached his strong hand and rubbed the shoulder of Herman Cain like one would do to show support especially what a man might to do a close friend to show support and understanding. Would Cain have done that I would bet my life on it he would not. When others told their stories Cain pretty much was stone. But Perry did this and one would have to be blind not to see the kind of a man that Perry is to his core. He is a man that impresses me every single day how he thinks, what he has done as Gov. and a leader and what he will do as President. I wish this forum had been on TV so people could have seen Perry in this.

Yes, Chrissie, that was a nice moment. I noticed that too. I think Perry is a genuinely fine person and would make a very good President. I don’t know if he can recover at this point to win the nomination. He was beat up by the other candidates badly, and then made some real gaffes of his own. But he is trying to make a comeback. He still has an outside shot, and will get another serious look if Newt Gingrich stumbles.

Thank you for posting this. I missed most of it, as it was not on TV, and I didn’t see and ads anywhere for it.

I really like Perry, but feel he’s too damaged by his debates. I like all of them, well maybe not Santorum, something about him irks me, but I like him a whole lot better than Soetero.
I gotta give Newt credit, he is so strong in his speaking abilities and love how he takes on the media and their left comrades. And no Romney?  The man is so afraid to take a stance on anything, its very disappointing.

This GOP field is a mess if you ask me. Perry seems like a great guy, but just not smart enough. Newt is smart enough, but not that great a guy. Cain is neither smart enough or that great a person. Romney is a chicken. And then we have Paul who’s smart enough, has led a decent life, but is a marginal politican it terms of slick delivery.

Paul needs to win for one reason. The banks are in charge, as they are in total control in Greece and now Italy. Paul is the only one willing to stand-up to them and have the intelligence to end the Bank/Corporate rule.

I am not sure America can expect to get out from under a 15 trillion dollar debt without some serious bruising, but if not now, then when? In 10 years? We unfortunately need to cut spending during a recession, but I can’t see us spending out way out of it without a new war.

Santorum impressed me the most and then Bachmann.  If they could rise in the polls, I would switch to either of them from Cain.  But all of these candidates are the choices for me, Romney and Huntsmann are out.

I so agree, He is a leader and it is not over please don’t look at his flaws but watch the hand of God at work, in the end many will be amazed what happens.I seen the same thing it was amazing how much compassion he has.
