Newt Gingrich Warns Iran on Nuclear Weapons: “You Have a Very Short Time to Solve this on Your Own, and if You Don’t, We Will Solve it for You” – Video 11/19/11

One more Newt Gingrich clip from today’s “Thanksgiving Family Forum” in Iowa. This was the closing question, as Frank Luntz asked for the “moral justification for war.” Gingrich, as he so often does, puts the question in historical perspective, reminding everyone that our “Declaration of Independence” as essentially a “Declaration of War” against England. Gingrich said that when someone kills 3000 of our citizens, we must respond with overwhelming force. Gingrich said we should always do everything we can to avoid war, but if it is necessary, we must do “whatever it takes to win.”

He had a blunt warning for Iran. He said that he would tell the Government of Iran today on their pursuit of Nuclear Weapons:

“You have a very short time to solve this on your own, and if you don’t, we will solve it for you – and frankly, we couldn’t care less what the rest of the world thinks. We are going to get it done.”
