Shock Rasmussen National Poll: Newt Gingrich Leads GOP Presidential Field by 21 Points – 12/1/11

A new national Rasmussen Poll finds Newt Gingrich now with a 21-point lead over Gov. Mitt Romney, 38%-17%, in the GOP Presidential Nomination race. The next closest candidates are Herman Cain and Ron Paul at 8%.

It has been an incredibly dramatic rise for Gingrich in the polls, who now leads in the 21-day average of national polls 25.6% – 20.8% over Mitt Romney. This is the largest lead so far for Gingrich, but he has now led by at least 4-points in the last five national polls released.
