Republican Jewish Coalition to Host GOP Presidential Debate “Candidate Forum” December 7; Ron Paul Not Invited to Participate

The Republican Jewish Coalition will host a candidate forum next week, December 7, that will feature seven of the eight current GOP Presidential Candidates. The event will be held in Washington, and will have a morning (9:00 AM-12:00 NN) and an afternoon (2:00-4:30 PM) session.
The event has already become controversial, because every candidate was invited to take part — except Rep. Ron Paul. Washington Jewish Week has posted the following explanation:
Paul was not invited to attend the RJC’s candidates forum because the organization – as it has stated numerous times in the past – “rejects his misguided and extreme views,” said Brooks.“He’s just so far outside of the mainstream of the Republican party and this organization,” Brooks said. Inviting Paul to attend would be “like inviting Barack Obama to speak.”
CBS News is now also reporting this story. It’s sure to generate a great deal of controversy as the event nears next week.
As much as the RJC disagrees with Ron Paul, you would think he would be invited, giving the other candidates the opportunity to publicly rebut his views. It would be 7 to 1.
